Sunkids Brisbane Technology Park | Eight Mile Plains

Having already completed 3 construction projects for this client, Jorgensens Design & Build are delighted to work alongside Sunkids to again deliver quality construction to their high-level of expectations.

When it comes to design and planning, there is very little that has been un-thought of with this facility. The architects had this to say when they were scribbling and designing this project

Our Upcoming Early Learning Centre at Brisbane Technology Park – includes a “Willy Wonka” style Playscape experience.

We have designed and documented all features to ensure a cohesive outcome – Inside, Outside and for all spaces in between.

Conversion of an existing 1800m2 warehouse, to a state of the art 101 place child care centre and new head office for the Sunkids group. Full land site of 2600m2.

The works include demolition of existing partition walls, extensive concrete cutting to allow for new foundations to allow for the office mezzanine floor and upper level featuring a  “Zen Garden” and “Bamboo Forest”. Works also include the full installation of plumbing and services.

Formwork and concrete work to install a new mezzanine floor where the head office facility will be along with ceilings and partitioning.

Installation of the ceiling to the entire warehouse where the fully airconditioned 779ms playscape will include custom made skylights, measuring an impressive 6.4m x 1.5m.

The inclusion of manufactured trees made from Australian hardwood to enclose the structural supports, curved balustrades and dividing fencing finish of the playscape and the vision.

We are all super excited to begin demolition, so that the conversion & new construction can take shape. Brisbane is our second home and we are incredibly excited to add to it’s infrustructure and give the community a well built, well designed, high-quality construction. Jorgensens Builders have begun the planning design and construction with the project handover scheduled for late  2020.
